Greetings!
Has you may know, I have been reworking the game.
The progress hasn't been fast but it's not halted, in fact i'll leave you with an update view in to the "Culture" ("Future Societies", in the og game) options, since is the most asked feature. I have been writing and fleshing out the system and what policy does what.
Also for those that don't know or aren't paying attention, "Culture" is what type of events (and fetishes) are going to be present in the arcology and displayed to you, the player.
Here's a view on the "Anal Culture".
The reworked selection tab, and the legend:
- The base policy! If you active this, you will be able access the options of the "culture", if you do not, you won't have access to any of it.
- Small info box to display the effects of the policy on the arcology, if they have any.
- The "culture strength" is how much of the culture is present in the arcology. Most policies require a certain amount of it, before becoming available.
- Options selection. Currently you are viewing the "Policies" tab.
Policies,
are the basic options of the culture. You can choose, what you want to have active or simply skip an aspect of the culture you don't personally like. The more options you have active, the more strength the culture will have. Most are available from the start, some become available once you achieve a certain level of "culture strength", and some are connected to the philosophy choice. (more on that down below)
Here's the current list of current policies i have made for the "Anal Culture".
Philosophy,
are options for specific, but not necessary, aspects of a culture. Take them as more customization options, and they often have an opposing option.
Some cultures may have some, others may not have any (i'm still not finished fleshing everyone out). Here's the "Anal Culture" current choices in it's philosophy...
Festivals,
are special events that will occur on a set week, and have an impact on the overall arcology status.
Some are available from the start (only limited by the "culture strength"), and some, like the policies are connected to the philosophy choice.
Here's the "Anal Culture" basic ones...
And here's the one's connected to the philosophy's...
"Form over Mass"
"Mass over Form"
"Painal" or "Gapping" choice
And that's it for now...
i may not post updates often, but know that my work continues even in silence.
Feel free to leave questions or feedback, and i'll respond to them as soon as i can, and please tell me if you would like to see the rest of the other cultural option, as I implement them in game.
Thanks for reading. Valete!
PS: Festival and philosophy images are subject to chance.
